Tactical Pistol Operator – 2 Day Course
This course is designed to introduce tactical level pistol shooting skills that can be applied in real-life situations. Included are the fundamentals of shooting, shooting positions reloads and stoppage drills, shooting on the move, pivots and turns, close quarter battle techniques, multiple suspects, low light shooting and weapons retention drills.

Advanced Patrol Rifle – 2 Day Course
This course should be mandatory for officers who are currently assigned patrol rifles in the field. In addition to quality range shooting drills an emphasis is placed on effective perimeter deployment, urban & rural hide selection and tactics, providing K9 search coverage and effective support of less-lethal deployment.

Submachine Gun Operator – 2 Day Course
An emphasis is placed on developing a solid foundation of shooting fundamentals and skills with the submachine gun. Topics covered are: Safety, breakdown & assembly, load & unload, fundamentals of shooting, shooting positions, reloads and stoppage drills, shooting on the move, pivots and turns, close quarter battle techniques, multiple suspects, low light shooting, transition drills, controlled burst automatic fire and weapons retention drills.

Assault Rifle Operator – 2 Day Course
This course is designed to develop a solid foundation of shooting skills with the assault rifle. Topics covered are: Safety, breakdown & assembly, load & unload, fundamentals of shooting, shooting positions reloads and stoppage drills, shooting on the move, pivots and turns, close quarter battle techniques, multiple suspects, low light shooting, transition drills, controlled burst automatic fire and weapons retention drills.

Tactical Shotgun Breaching – 1 Day Course
This course is designed to teach effective ballistic shotgun breaching techniques. A strong emphasis will be placed on the development of safe operational breaching standards and procedures. Topics covered will be breach point analysis, round selection and breaching target areas. An overview of the ram, halogen/pry bar, tactical sledge and explosive breaching will be presented.

Low Light Tactics & Weapons Shooting – 1 Day Course
This course should not be an option. Two out of three officer homicides and most violent crimes occur during darkness or in diminished light. Topics covered are principles of low-light tactics, lighting techniques and night fire. Learn to fight at night!

Weapons courses include classroom, range shooting, written testing and qualification.

All Special Weapons courses require the following equipment: Weapon with three magazines, holster, tactical gear (if applicable), body armor, flashlight, baseball-style cap, full wraparound eye protection and hearing protection. Long sleeve shirts, elbow and knee pads are recommended. Inquire about ammo required for each course.
